Staff Feedback

  • I just wanted to let you know I had my first experience using the iPod translations app last week and the transaction could not have been more flawless...The patrons were both very appreciative and excited and I was beaming about the wow factor of the transaction.

Staff Feedback

  • I was playing around with the iPod Touch to see how well the two apps work with translating Arabic. Both apps are fairly accurate with simple translations, we may run into problems with dialects but not too bad. Love the idea, I think it's a great way to welcome our immigrant population to Lexington.

Staff Feedback

  • The main thing I’ve noticed is problems with translation of homophones, e.g. if I say “fine” the word on the app is “bien” not “multa”, which is the word I was taught to use for fines. In this particular case it seems to pick it up correctly if I use the word “fee” instead.

Staff Feedback

  • While simple in nature it allows us the ability to connect and communicate with members of our community and in turn better share the resources we provide.
