Divide and conquer. Goal is to keep deadlines for long-term projects or tests from creeping up. You can use a Calendar to help make sure that you do a little bit of work each day or week to get a project/studying done. So you don’t wait for the last minute to do it.
Organized to-do list in a logical order. The goal is to have less stress when there’s a lot to do. Tasks and homework can be organized by due date or by time needed or by how hard or easy they are. Just putting a list in order can help you feel more in control.
Have a front door “go” box. The goal is to have everything you need for school at the door. You can designate a place for items that you need for school: your backpack, projects, gym clothes, or uniforms for that day.
Colorcode tasks. Goal is to prioritize your chores, Homework, or messages by color. You might use red sticky notes for important tasks and green ones for things that have to be done later in the week or in a month. But this is something to do so you won’t forget.
Use a whiteboard. The goal is to make things easier to visualize. With a whiteboard you can make to do list, map out thoughts for an assignment, or just write down things to remember.
Set a weekly backpack cleaning day or school space cleaning day. The goal is to get rid of the clutter and save the important items. Cleaning out old papers leftover assignments, and pencil stubs once a week and make it easier for you to find things
Keep track of time. The goal is to help you plan better. Write down a start and end time for your homework for a couple of weeks. Keep a log to see how long it takes you to do certain subjects. This will help you figure out how to budget your time more wisely and know that you need more time for science assignments or history or what not so you don’t get to a point where you’re stressed out and it feels like an avalanche.
