OUR VARIABLES

  • Independent variable-Time
  • Dependent- Amount of Slurpee

PROCEDURE

  • Weigh Slurpee
  • Take the temperature
  • Start experiment by starting a timer and taking large gulps until we get a brain freeze
  • Then we record how long it took.

DATA

  • 711 Slurpees(2): 27°F
  • Speedway slurpees(2): 24°F
  • Each Sip was approx. 15g

SLURPEE LAB DATA

OUR RESULTS

  • The Slurpees from 711 took us about 12.5 seconds to feel a brain freeze
  • The Slurpees from speedway took us about 9 seconds

CONCLUSION

  • How fast can you get a brain freeze from a Slurpee from 711 and speedway? From the data we collected, a Slurpee from Speedway gave us a brain freeze quicker than one from 711.
  • An average time of 12.5 seconds was the time it took to get a Brain freeze from 711, while a Slurpee from speedway only took 9 seconds.
