CAUSE OF BPH

  • Occurs to a degree in all men as they age
  • Normal part of aging process in men
  • Can be from hormone balance changes

Treatment includes drugs, such as Proscar which inhibits production of testosterone, and Flomax which relaxes the prostate muscle, as well as laser treatment to destroy prostatic tissue and relieve any obstruction (laser TURP or GreenLight PVP)
