Stockholders included the king and the wealthy who kept him in power.

The company did not have to pay high taxes so they held a monopoly on he tea sold in the American Colonies.

TEA PARTY

  • People dressed as Indians.
  • Boarded three ships containing crates of tea.
  • Then they threw all the tea over board.
