to use (something valuable) to achieve a desired result
You may have something that already exists. Check where you can be found and make sure it's up to date.

Check where your competition is listed and make sure you're there too.

Create new listings that are relevant to your business and to the people who are searching for you.

Think about:
> publishing your own content
> curating content from great sources and share it
> promote content from people you know

online visibility

SOME OPTIONS:
So what is your online visibility and how can social media help your business?

Remember this:
Don't rely on only one channel to bring in new customers.

Think about online resources.
Think about email campaigns.

Because your best

referral is not . . .

the Lone Ranger

Your business is supported by a team.

- Maybe employees or sub-contractors.
- Money people like bankers, accountants, financial advisors.
- Marketing, graphic designers, printers.
- Some people have partners or master mind groups.
- Then there's the networking like BNI.

You need a team.

Don't be a Lone Ranger!

1- Be found

Who uses the Yellow Pages?
No one uses the Yellow pages anymore- for search.

So you need multiple listings on different social channels.

These give people a way to find you.

REMEMBER THIS:
Google invented Google Plus.

It's like they're happy sisters. When you like G+ and publish good content there, then Google Search will like you too.

Over time, adding content to G+ helps Google Search find you, like you, and promote you to searchers.

"If you never fail
either you're really lucky or you never
shipped anything."

There is no guarantee.

2- Become known

Jab, Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook
Publishing content helps you become known as a resource.

Make it useful, entertaining, & relevant.

Make it about them.

Just imagine if NPR did daily Pledge Drives.

"It's not surprising
that we hesitate.
Starting maximizes
the chances of
ending up wrong."

You won't always be wrong- but you'll never get it right if you don't try.

3. Be Promoted

Happy customers like to share
How do you get customer reviews?

Your social media channels can provide a way for happy customers to give you reviews and promote your business.

Yelp reviews can even send customers your way.

"If you sprinkle ideas...
be prepared for some to land on pavement but some will land on soil
and grow."

The more you leverage your online visibility, your digital assets, and your social channels-

...the more likely you are going to see results.

WHAT NEXT?

When you share good stuff you become known as a trusted resource.

Want to connect with someone?

Send them relevant news that they care about from a reputable source.

As you create, publish, promote, and share online... the search engines will reward you by letting their searchers find YOU.

REMEMBER: 80/20
Don't always make it about YOU.
Give, give, give, give, give, Ask.
Repeat.

Remember:

Don't rely on only one channel for getting new customers.
Don't be a Lone Ranger
