PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Girls Inc. teaches girls to be strong,courageous, brave and stand for what is right. One activity that we did was the M.L.K March. We marched across San Antonio from 9:00-6:00. The experience reminded me of a novel/book I read called March.
Just like we did John the main character in the story had marched for fairness and no racism. The difference was that John who later became a good senator participated in a sit in, in fact the first sit in for civil rights.
At Girls Inc. We discussed the meaning of civil rights and what why it was worth dying for. Just like the main character, at the March we marched hand with signs, that symbolized exactly what those people fought for.
In girls inc, we also took a test on our strengths to see how bold, bright and smart and a good leader we are so we can become just like M.L.K Jr.
