Plot:
A teenage kid named Brian gets in a plane crash in the middle of the Canadian wilderness and has to fight to survive.

Exposition:
Brian the teenager is on a plane trip visiting his dad in northern Canada.

Setting:
The story takes place in a small lake in the middle of the Canadian wilderness.


Rising action:
When Brian gets the emergency gear inside the plane and contacts someone with the radio.

Climax:
When Brian gets spotted by a search plane

Denouement:
Brian gets rescued and on his way back home.

Denouement (cont.)
Brian returns to his home and has a big dinner with all his favorite foods and figures out that he is really famous.

Foreshadowing:
The pilot was teaching him how to control the plane which hints that maybe be would have to fly it.

Symbol:
The hatchet was a symbol in the story which his mom gave him and ended up saving his life.

Brian's mom is static because she does not change throughout

Brian is a dynamic character because he becomes very famous when he survives by himself in the middle of the Canadian wilderness.

Th conflict is person vs nature and it is between the wilderness and Brian and it is an external conflict.


Tone/mood:
The mood and tone is suspenseful yet hopeful.

Point of view:
The point of view is first person from Brian.
