INTRODUCTION

  • Ever heared a quiet, slithering sound of a garden snake? Imagine that, but much larger. Thats a boa constrictor.
  • How would you like to learn about a boa constrictor?

BOA DESCRIPTION

  • They are very long. As long as 13 feet!
  • They have no eyelids, so their eyes are always open.
  • Most boas are nocturnal.
  • They are very heavy, up to 100 pounds!
  • They are a reptile.

BOA HABITAT

  • Some boas are native to South America.
  • Other boas live in Central America.
  • Some boas live as north as Canada.
  • They like moist rainforests.
  • Some live in grasslands.

BOA ADAPTATIONS

  • They have an instinct to hide.
  • They are warm blooded.
  • They have scales to help them move.
  • They live about 30 years.
  • They are a carnivore.
