• Not as much money as the others
• His house is not as grand
• Mentioned that he only pays $80 a month
• His job was with the bond business

What facts would you choose to prove that Daisy doesn't really love Gatsby?

ANSWER

• Simply loved the attention Gatsby was giving her
• Knew about her husband's affair for awhile; revenge?
• Crying into the shirts shows that she is materialistic
• Wasn't crying for the sole fact of being reunited w/ Gatsby

How would you explain Tom and Daisy's marriage?

• Mostly a negative relationship
