• Means lightning war in German
• Objective is to take over enemy as fast as possible
• Aggressor attacks with everything they have constantly until victory

USED BY THE GERMANS IN THEIR CONQUESTS

• Germans used this tactic when invading Poland
• Only took them a month to take over Poland
• The rest of Europe was shocked at the speed of their takeover
• Germans also used this tactic on every other country they invaded in the war
• Wildly successful way of invading countries

BRITAIN RESISTS

• Germany's blitz was not as effective on the British
• They only used air raids in their attacks
• British Royal Air Force was able to drive Germans away
• Germany gave up on trying to blitz the British
• Britain still maintained a lot of damage from the air raids
