ROSA PARKS

  • Her main event in her life was when she refused to give her seat up to a white person because she
  • was tired that day and didn't feel it was right to give her seet up she was then arrested.
  • Dates/years: December 1 1955 Cities/States: Montgomery, Alabama Topics of change: people started a
  • protest and all blacks stopped riding the bus but most black people rode the busses, that's how
  • the buses got money so then all the buses changed the rule and that's how it all started.

RUBY BRIDGES

  • Main event: being the first black child to attend an all white school not to mention the ugly
  • comments from the white parents. Dates/ years: november 14 1960 she was 6 Cities/States:
  • New orleans, Louisiana Topic of Change: her act of bravery led lots of schools
  • To longer be segregated but instead be together.:)

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

  • Main event: he is famous for fighting for the right to no longer be segregated without
  • fighting he is also known for his I have a dream speech were he explains that he hopes
  • no one will ever be judged on their skin color anymore. Dates/years: August 28 1963
  • Cities/ States: Washington D.C Topics of Change: he stoped segregation so there was no white
  • only signs anymore and african americans where treated exactly like whites he made it all right

JESSE JACKSON

  • Main event: he fought for the power of being the second black american to run for
  • president Dates/ years: November 6 1984 Cities/ States: greenville, south carolina
  • Topics of change: he was trying to change the fact that everyone assumed the
  • president should be white so he let people know that your skin color doesn't
  • matter sadly he wasn't elected president but he still inspired people

DAISY BATES

  • Main event: leading role in the little rock integration crisis of 1957
  • Dates/ years: September 4 1957 it happened on different days/Cities: little rock, arkansas
  • Topic of change: she helped the liitle rock 9 go to an all white school and that then
  • encourged schools to no longer be segregated
