Despite the name black bear, they can also be white, cinnamon, and grey

Black bears are excellent climbers

A mamma bear can have 1-6 cubs in a litter

Black bears are considered carnivores but, eat a lot of seasonal herbs and flowers

  • It is estimated that there are at least 600,000 in North America.
  • Black bears can be found in at least 40 U.S. States
  • Most black bears live alone

  • Can run up to 35 miles per hour.
