The Big Bang
The Big Bang Theory is the most common and accepted theory
It began as a 'singularity'- (hot, small and dense)
Then the universe expanded very quickly- thus the name 'the big bang'

Stengths
Evidence of this theory includes:
Cosmic microwaves background radiation
This radiation was hot and strong when the universe was created
This same radiation is found today as cold and weak but still present

Weaknesses
The theory doesn't have the answer as to why it happened
The theory includes assumptions with no concrete evidence

Opportunities
New matter still being created as the universe is expanding

Threats
There are other ways of explaining origin
