WHY I CHOSE BIKES

  • My great great grandad won a
  • Golden watch in a cycling race.
  • I thought it would be fun.
  • The subject interests me.

The earliest unverified bike was a drawing drawn by a pupil of Leonardo da Vinci in 1493.t

Karl von Drais patented his Laufmaschine in 1818. It was the first two-wheeled, steerable, human-propelled machine.

It is thought that the first mechanically propelled two-wheeled bike to have been made by Kirkpatrick Macmillan in 1839.

As time went on, people in Europe began to like biking even more while in America, even less.

In the end however, Americans saw how awesome biking is.
