- Governor of the Spanish colony of Louisiana.
- Patriot.
- Born in Spain.
- He chose a military career like his family did.
HIS PART IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION
- He was helping the patriots even before Spain entered the war.
- He kept British supplies and armies out of the Mississippi River.
- He gave the U.S Army supplies.
HIS PART IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION
- He prepared series of attacks on some British forts in West Florida.
- But while gathering supplies a hurricane destroyed his ships, so they attacked by land driving the British further away.
- While preparing for another attack, another hurricane stroke.
- He joined forces with another fleet and he lead a victory.
- Because of him, the British couldn't attack the Patriots from the south or west.

HIS DEATH
- He died of an unknown illness.
- Soon after his now widowed wife gave birth to a girl. 😔
