Playing games in the classroom increases overall motivation. By playing games, students become more motivated to learn, pay attention and participate in set tasks. Games help students to become a part of a team as well as take responsibility for their own learning.

Are they good for learning?

  • A new study shows for the first time that playing action video games improves not just the skills taught in the game, but learning capabilities more generally. “Prior research by our group and others has shown that action gamers excel at many tasks.

Some great games for this concept include...

  • Kahoot
  • The Oregon Trail
  • Trivia Crack
  • And quizlet can have some competitive game modes
