What the author is trying portray is that you should be happy with who you are and how you're made.
This poem also shows that life could be much worse and you should be happy with the one you have.
(An example of that) "that clearly would not be a treat, for you'd be forced to smell you feet."

An example of this is when it says "forever tickled by you hair."
This is a personification because hair can't physically "tickle" someone or something on purpose
