Who owns the BBC

  • It's been a public body under the charter since 1927.
  • The British public pay for it, and if it's 'owned' by anybody, it belongs to the state.
  • Although the Tax payer mostly owns it, there are private shareholders get up to 15% of the companies annual profits.

  • Representing the UK, its nations, regions and communities.
