  • It started on April 6, 1862.
  • Over 70,000 men were in the battle.
  • It was in Hardin County, Tennessee.
  • It was named because a church in the middle of it was named Shiloh.
  • There were over 23,000 casulties in the battle

  • 110,053 forces were engaged.
  • Albert Sidney Johnston led the Confederate forces.
  • Ulysses S. Grant led the Union.
  • It lasted two whole days.
  • 1,160 acres of land was saved.
