PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Barrier Analysis and Adaptation for

 an upcoming remote learning experience

Intended Learning Outcomes

  • Compare and contrast parallel lines and perpendicular lines
  • Justify to others why given lines are parallel or perpendicular
  • Learn the features of parallel and perpendicular lines

Lesson Outline

  • Students in pairs will be given index cards which each have an equations of lines on them
  • Students will work together to rewrite the equations in slope intercept form, to identify the slope and intercepts

Continued

  • Students will identify which lines are parallel to each other and which are perpendicular
  • Students will create a poster showcasing which lines they chose for each category

Continued

  • Students will meet with other groups and compare posters
  • Groups will take turns justifying their choices on why the lines are parallel or perpendicular
  • We will go over answers as a class at the end
