• This is the note that was slipped under Brodie's door in the envelope. We chose this because it shows how we pictured the note looking and how mysterious the book is. In the text it said," My hand that held the piece of paper shook. TELL." We choose that because it describes how Brodie felt when he held the note. This is important to the story because it shows that someone wants Brodie to tell the truth.

• We chose to put this in the presentation because this is what we picture the Blackwater falls to look like. This is important to the story because it helps you picture what the setting would be like because they are by the Blackwater a lot. In the text it states,"Blackwater falls is about seven miles downriver. You don't want to go swimming near them." This shows that it's near the pond so they talked about it.

• This is what we imagine the Blackwater river to look like. We chose this because we imagined Pauline and Otis flowing down the river.in the text it said," But when I looked, I could see nothing but the whirl and jumble of the river." This shows that the river is a dangerous place because it has killed livestock.

• This is what we imagine Pauline to look like. In that picture, she is picking up her towel that had been found after she had gone dead. In the text it states," there way a rolled up yellow towel on the beach. Beside it were small pink flip flops with sunflowers on them." This is important because it is describing what is in the picture on the beach.

• This is what we think Hannah looks like. In the text it says," Hannah was pretty too, I supposed, in a different way. She was a brown girl---Brown hair, brown eyes, smart and serious." This shows that what is in the story describes how she looks.

• This is a picture of what we imagine Pauline to look like. It is important because Pauline was a important character in the story. In the text it says," but Pauline---Pauline was a golden girl, all shiny and polished. I could write poems about Pauline Genero." This shows that Brodie was describing Pauline so we can get an idea of what she looks like.

• This is what we think Alex looks like. It is important because Alex did a lot of surprising things in the book. In the text it said," He's thin and white and slopey and his hair is stringy black." We know In The picture his hair isn't black but we imagine the rest is what he looks like, just not the color. Anyways, we chose that text because it is describing Alex.

• This is what we think Otis would look like. It is important because he was part of the commotion. In the text it says," And Otis McCandless. He was older than us and such a jerk. He though he was some big lover boy, all the time going after girls, even girls in my grade." The text it important because it's describing how much older he is and his looks based on his personality.

• This is what we think Brodie looks like. It is important because he is the main character. In the story it says," First and worst, my cousin Alex had come up for Los Angeles to spend the summer in rivertown." This shows that since Alex is Brodie's cousin, they should look a bit similar.
