There is no exact date of the start of this calendar but people have decided that the Babylonian Calendar is a twist of of the Umma Calendar that was created in the 21 century BC.
There is also no time they stopped using this calendar either but they kept making changes in 500 BC, 39 years after the fall of the Babylonian Empire.
