The basics of AVID

We are expected to be mature and respectful everywhere we go.
All of us get good grades.
Everyone needs to put in an effort.
We all need to stay organized.
Everyone was picked to be in the AVID program because they saw that we had potential.

THE AVID ACRONYMS

  • AVID-Advancement Via Individual Determination
  • TRF-Tutorial Request Forms

STEPS TO THE TUTORIAL PROCESS

  • have a TRF
  • everyone says the point of confusion.
  • the first person does 30 second speech
  • write POC
  • write the notes and get help till you find out the answer to your POC

COSTA'S QUESTIONS

  • Level 2- Analyzing​,Comparing,Contrasting​,Grouping,Inferring​,Sequencing ,& Synthesizing
  • Level 3- Applying a principle,​Evaluating,Hypothesizing​,Imagining,Judging​,Predicting,& Speculating
  • Level 2 can be found in the text but also have to imagine.
  • Level 3 can not be found in the text this is the question that you have to assume.

  • Mondays-wwp and any lesson
  • Tuesdays-biology
  • Wednesdays-finish wwp and do TRF
  • Thursdays-biology
  • Fridays-either AVID or biology
