Many children with Autism can have difficulties with verbal communication
This can cause frustration for both the child and his/her family

IPADS have changed the lives of so many families
Students can use them to voice their thoughts, needs, and feelings.
They are differentiated for age level and motor abilities
Students can use apps to type and the IPAD will "talk"
Students can use APPS with pre-gprogrammed phrases to communicate

Students have a lot to say and this gives them the means to do so
Families can finally hear what their child needs or is thinking
They also have apps to practice language

An eye gaze board can be used to assist in communication
Students look at the board to communicate wants, needs, and feelings
This may take practice, but can decrease frustration
Again, this is giving the child a voice

Video Cameras, movies, video apps
Students can practice their speech be recording themselves
They can edit it as many times as they need
Students can practice forming sounds by watching the way their mouth moves
Video apps can provide another means of presenting in a classroom
