MY REACTION
When I read about Margaret Mitchell and her novel, I saw both the strengths and challenges in her work. She created a story that people still read and still connect with today. Scarlett O’Hara shows determination and survival, equalities, many people admire. At the same time, gone with the wind, reflects the culture of the south in Mitchell’s time, including ideas now seen as outdated. This makes a novel important as both a story and a window into history. Her work makes us think about survival, change, and how history shapes our lives.
