Brief Biography:

Jack London was born on January 12th, 1876 in San Francisco, California. He was raised in Oakland, California by his mom and stepfather due to his bilogical father abandoning him. When he was 14 he quit school to get away from poverty and to gain freedom. Later on he found his pasion for writing and by the age of 30 he got famous for a couple of his books like the “Call of the Wild” in 1903 and the “ White Fang” in 1906. Besides his talent for writing books he was also known for his personal behavior. He was loving, an elequent speaker, courageous, but also quite controversial leading him in the news quite often. During the 20th century, he became more public with activism, where he was able to express what he believes while writing. Sadly, he died in November 22, 1916, leaving behind a great legacy of one of the best authors of his time. As time goes on, generations are still motivated by his work and his character.

Reaction to Author’s Work:

When I look at Jack London’s work, I see a storyteller that is able to catch a reader’s attention just by reading the summary of his stories. His books are impactful because he usually interacts man and nature, creating a feeling of wholesome and suspense. His work seems really interesting where I would even want to start reading some of his books. I really like how he includes adventure when he writes because you never know what can happen next when reading. He sounds like a really good author that should’ve got more attention than he had recieved. From the resreach I’ve done about Jack Lodnon, I would recommend people to give his work a try and even watch the movies he has about his books. His desire to express what he believes in motivates me to do the same in a respectful manner.
