AUSTRALIA'S BASIC FACTS:

  • Worlds 6th largest country.
  • One of the wealthiest countries in the world.
  • Inhabited by indigenous Australians.
  • Australia is located above the Southern Ocean & to the East of the Indian Ocean.
  • Population: ~23.13 million as of 2013.

SYMBOLS

  • The Australian flag includes Southern Cross, Union Flag, and the Common Wealth Star
  • Coat of Arms- Identifies Australia's government authority and property.
  • National Floral Emblem-> Golden Wattle: A tree which flowers in winter & spring.
  • National Gemstome-> Opal: Production was worth $71.4 million to Australia in 2003
  • National Anthem-> Identifies Australia at home. Unites the nation and is an expression of joy

SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE:
The opening to the Sydney Harbour Bridge climbs was back in 1932. Since that year you've been allowed to purchase climbs of the harbour bridge starting at $248 daytime, $328 twilight. During the climb you're provided gear that you must wear in order to be safe from the winds and so forth. The trip is toured by a guide,every climb chosen gets brought to the summit 135m above sea level. You get your picture taken at the summit! How cool is that!?
