10 ATTRIVUTES

Consider these AttriVutes a roadmap on what it takes to be successful here. They are part who we are and who we aspire to be.

We need people who are comfortable knowing what to do when no one's there telling them what to do.

Wait. What is an attrivute?

  • B is replaced with V.
  • Pretty much the same as an attribute, but specific to us.
  • Our purpose/cause: "Bring the human back to human capital."
  • Our "AttriVutes" support our cause or purpose.
  • Read on to learn more.

1. ACT LIKE AN OWNER

WITH GREAT PEOPLE COMES GREAT RESPONSBILITY.
We own things and specific responsibilities.

We think about how they enable our customers to succeed, how we maintain high standards for new team members, how they will succeed, and how HireVue will succeed at the same time and look for opportunities to take on more.

We trust ourselves and don't have large volumes of policies and procedures. Instead we use good judgment (i.e., work from home policy, travel policy, sick days, vacation, etc).

2. CUSTOMER OBSESSION

PASSIONATE CUSTOMERS ARE THE BEST BUSINESS.
We are obsessed with delighting customers and understanding their needs. Passionate customers are the best business. This does not mean the customer is always right. Our role is to educate and influence them in the right direction. Delighting customers heading in the wrong direction does not yield the long term results they need.

Our competitors are interesting, but not important when we focus obsessively on serving customer needs.

3. LEAN TOWARDS ACTION

TAKE ACTION & BE WILLING TO MAKE MISTAKES.
We take action and are willing to make mistakes. We prefer making new mistakes rather than repeating old ones.

We learn, use good judgement and right most of the time.

4. Accept the best ideas

We listen to others, consider other opinions inconsistent with our own and have the courage to change our positions when evidence demands.

We share information openly with other team members. People do their best work when they have as much information as possible.

5. GET RESULTS

IT'S ABOUT POINTS, NOT YARDAGE.
We commit to a course of action and deliver. We have a sense of urgency to deliver and exceed expectations.

We are tenacious at completing a commitment even when things get hard. Working hard to move the ball down field is great, but delivering results is what counts. It's about points, not yardage.

6. build on what works

We know things are never perfect, but we don't obsess about what is broken. We celebrate what works now and focus on improvement.

7. KEEP IT SIMPLE

Simplicity is hard work that pays off.

Maintaining simplicity will be harder as we grow. We look for the simplest solutions possible without oversimplifying (i.e., unproductive meetings, useless reports, etc.)

8. THINK BIG

WHAT IF? COULD WE? WHY WOULDN'T WE? WHY NOT?
We think beyond our own world, the obvious, or what most people think is possible. We invent new ways of doing things.

We think: What if? Could we? Why wouldn't we? and Why not?

9. DISAGREE BUT COMMIT

SPEAK THE TRUTH AND FACE THE FACTS.
We stand for what we believe is right. We speak the truth and face the facts. We also wholeheartedly support decisions even when we disagree.

We favor team over self and do not silently disagree. We realize candor and feedback are gifts.

10. HIRE THE BEST & DEVELOP TO BE BETTER

We hire great people and invest our time and energy in onboarding, mentoring and helping people go beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

We hire talented people, give them what they need to be successful and get the hell out of their way.

We give feedback and expect you to act on it. We expect you to take individual responsibility to work at the next level.
