  • There are two major stars.
  • One of them is Ankaa.
  • The second one is Gliese.

STORY OF PHOENIX

  • The constellation was named after the mythical bird that rises from its own ashes. The constellation is small, but it is the largest among the 12 constellations created and named by Plancius. The brightest star in the constellation is Ankaa.

WHERE IT IS LOCATED

  • It is located in the southern sky. The constellation can not be seen year round. It can be seen in November only.
