Attempted to mesure the distance to the moon and sun. He also proposed the heliocentric model of the solar system

Geocentric solar system model

Ptolemy thought that the earth was the center of the solar system.

384-322 BCE

He thought of the idea that the sun and moon orbit the Earth. And discovered the earth is round.

He thought that every thing revolved around the Earth. Ptolemy created a geocentric model that was used for 14 centuries
