• He wrote a book named the Almagest
• Book was based on 800yr old planets

• He thought the solar system ran "wheels on wheels"

COPERNICUS

• Adopted ptolemys idea
• Which was planetary paths should be perfect circles
• Seen as the first step in development of modern models
• Revolve around the sun

KEPLER

• Formulates 3 principles
• Kepler laws
• Planetary orbits are ellipsis with sun at one focus
• Planters move faster in there orbits
• The distance of a planet from the sun to the time it takes to go around

GALILEO

• Approached science in scientific models
• Made improvements to the telescope
• Observed moons
• Earth was not only object orbited
• Studied Venus
