The Assyrians got their vocabulary , art, gods, science , and architecture, mostly from the Amorite and Sumerian civilizations.

ASSYRIAN MILITARY

  • Foot Soldiers
  • Spearmen
  • Archers
  • Cavalry

The Assyrians were known for being fierce and ruthless. They learned how to make iron weapons and use chariots for war.

When taking over a city the Assyrian soldiers would tunnel under walls, climb over them using ladders, or knock down city gates with battering rams.

The soldiers removed the people they conquered from their land and moved them out to foreign countries.

Even though the Assyrians were cruel people God showed mercy to them. However when they continued to do evil God had the Medes destroy Nineveh. This ended the Assyrian empire.
