assignment 9B

Im FOR 5A
Pluto is considered a dwarf planet because it is in orbit sround the sun. Has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape. Pluto has not cleared the neighborhood around its orbit. Pluto is not a moon to any other near by planet. So Pluto to me would be considered an Small Solar System Bodies.

Im FOR 5B
classical planet is just a way to see the planet in a classical way. So really its just saying that the way to see a simple planet is in this way. It makes sense so you can concider Pluto to be a classical planet. Pluto follows most of the reasons to be a planet like the others. So i am for this statement.

Im FOR 6A
Pluto is a prototype of a new class of trans-Neptunian objects. I think that because Pluto meets all the qualifications to be a trans-Neptunian object. the fact it says prototype says to me that Pluto will eventually become know as a actual type of trans-Neptunian object.
There has been voting on this and the majority said they agree with that statement. So im for this to be trans-Neptunian object.

Im AGANIST 6B
I Agree that the trans-Neptunian objects will be called “plutonian objects.” Pluto again should be called a trans-Neptunian object like i said befor. Pluto meets all the qualaflcations for it. Pluto is not its own planet it is a trans-Neptunuian object. So im against the plutonian object title.
