ASPCA HISTORY

• Born in 1813, Henry Bergh founded the ASPCA in 1866
• An animal cruelty was was passed on April 10th, 1866
• This law granted the ASPCA to enforce the law
• 37 out of the 38 states, at the time, enacted an anti-cruelty law

WHY I BELIEVE IN THE ASPCA

• My dad saved my old dog, Justice
• Justice was being chased by a man with a bat
• My dad then grabbed Justice and took him back home
• Justice had a broken leg, dehydrated, and was starving

Not only people need non profit organizations; but animals need them too. Without the ASPCA, animals would be dying off and populations would be dramatically affected.
