Passpartout gets intoxicated and fails to notify Fogg that the boat time had been moved up.
So, Fogg and Auoda miss the boat and have to board the Tankadere.
Parrpartout joins the long noses in an attempt to cross the Atlantic. Passpartout and Fogg meet up by chance.

Foggs party boards the steamer to America. They reach California. They run into a political rally, where they meet Colonel Proctor. He punches Fix in the head and insults them. They board the train to New York.

CHAPTERS 27-28

On the train, Passpartout listens to a course of Mormon history. The train encounters 2 problems. A herd of buffalo cover the track at some point, and they must wait for them to move. Once, they needed to cross a bridge that was weak and covered in ice, so they had to jump the gap.

CHAPTERS 29-31

Fogg and Proctor meet whilst Fogg was playing a card game. Proctor challenges Fogg to a duel.... The fight gets interrupted when Sioux indians attack the train.

3 passengers get taken captive, Passpartout among them, so Fogg got together a search party to rescue him. Fix doesn't want him to leave, but Fix ends up staying with Auoda. Fogg successfully rescues the captives, and the group takes a sled ride the rest of the way to New York.
