  • Romans identified Ares with their own war god, Mars.
  • Mars and Ares were two different war gods.

  • Since he is the god of war, I would expect him to be tough, and a troublemaker.
  • He would most likely have weapons such as bows and arrows, and spears around him
  • He probably looks large, muscular, and mean.

  • Ares would always get into wars with his sister, Athena.
  • Aphrodite, and many other women had affairs with Ares.
  • Ares wasn't the best warrior, so he lost many wars.

  • It was said that Ares could predict the outcome of war.
  • Ares could get any girl that he wanted.

  • Ares never married, but Aphrodite was there to support him.
  • Zeus, his father, never liked him.
  • Hera, his mother, was there to support him.

  • Ares was originally the god of fertility.
  • Not widely worshiped in Greece.
  • Few myths include Ares in them.
  • He had many love affairs with humans and goddesses.
  • Son of Zeus and Hera.
