Arabian peninsula

• a peninsula of Western Asia in the north-east of Africa
• It is the largest peninsula in the world
• Countries: Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, 
• Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain.
• They trade with the U.S.

Sunni

• Muslims believe that anyone can interpret their teachings.
• Mostly located in Iran, Pakistan, India and Iraq.
• The U.S may have had conflicts with the Sunni

Embargo

• A limit on trade
•  Saudi Arabia stopped trading with U.S. for oil in 1973
• The United nations put an embargo on Iraq

Shah

• King or ruler of a certin place
• Most of the countries in the Arabian Peninsula have shahs( Iran)
• America used to be ruled by a king/shah before we gained independence

Revolution

• a drastic change in a country’s government and way of life
• Revolutions happen all around the world including the U.S
• After Iran revolution they against the U.S. 
• Country: This happened in Iran

OPEC

• international organization
• impact price of oil
• Countries: Iran, Iraq, Qatar
• kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE
• Saudi Arabia gives oil to U.S.
