APPARITION OF OUR LADY AT LA SALETTE
On September 19, 1846, Mary appeared to Mélanie and Maximin Giraud
This appearance occurred at La Salette, France
Maximin (11 years old) is pictured left and Mélanie (14 years old) is right
The message was that the people need to repent their sins or they will be plagued with famine.
The encounter was taken very seriously and recorded the next day. The local Bishop faced a lot of opposition while investigating.
Mary was seated, wearing a white, long, beautiful dress as she spoke to the children.
After 4 years, Mgr. de Bruillard finally confirmed the credibility and truthfulness of the story.
