  • Olympian Goddess of love and beauty.
  • Aphrodite involved herself on several noteworthy occasions with the affairs of mortal heroes.
  • She was born near the island of Cythera.
  • Heard to be the starter of the Trojan war.
  • One of the twelve Olympian Gods.

HER LIFE STORY

  • Because of her beauty, other gods feared that their rivalry over her would interrupt the peace among them.
  • The Romans called her Venus.
  • Aphrodite lived on Mount Olympus.
  • When Aprodite married Hephaestus – he wasn’t seen as a threat because of his ugliness and deformity.
  • Her parents were Zeus and Dione.

  • Her skin was to be whiter than ivory.
  • Also known to be the protector of sailors.
