- Anne and her family had to go into hiding during the German occupation
- They went into hiding starting 1940
- They hid in a place she called the annex.

ANNE'S DIARY
- She would constantly write in her diary while she was in the annex
- Her diary was found after the German take over.
DAVID'S STAR
JEWS HAD TO WEAR THIS STAR AS AN OBLIGATION
SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE IN THE ANNEX AS WELL
CAPTURED
- Anne and the rest were captured after 2years of hiding.
- They were transported to concentration camps.
- Her and her sister Margot died in March 1945 Bergen-Belsen of typhus.
