FISH

Fish are aquatic vertebrates, which means they live their life in the water and have a spine.

They are mostly all cold blooded animals, so they rely on their environment to regulate their body temperature.

There are 2 main types of fish: saltwater and freshwater.

Saltwater fish live in oceans and seas.

Freshwater fish live in rivers, lakes, ponds, and streams.

Many other animals depend on fish for food, such as: bigger fish, birds, mammals (including humans), and reptiles.

Because of this, fish rely on camouflage and large numbers to survive.
