RUSSIA BEFORE COMMUNISM
After russia suffered a devastatingly loss in World War 1, the economy began to collapse. They suffered from heavy military casualties and food shortages. Also adding to the poverty was the complete dictatorship of Russian rulers. The conditions were so bad that citizens had to sleep on the streets and beg for food. By February of 1917 russian workers began to riot. As a result Nicholas the second abdicated on march 2nd. Which marked the end of imperialism in Russia.

ANIMAL FARM BEFORE ANIMALISM
Before the revolution the animals lived in an environment where they were malnourished, exploited, and slaughtered. They were ruled by a complete dictatorship and hardships were dealt by the notorious farmer Jones. Soon the animals began to get sick of the mistreatment and started the revolution. This marked the Beginning of Animalism in the farm.

SUMMARY
Both the Farm and Russia suffered greatly from hunger and exploitation. They both experienced great hardships due to their oppressors (other nations/Farmer Jones). Animalism and communism which were created by theorists (old major and Karl Marx) were installed after a successful revolution. In theory these philosophies where supposed to create a government-less society in which all citizens are equal and all things are distributed evenly amongst the people.
