MOLLUSKS

  • Reproduce sexually, eggs are released before fertilization
  • hard shells, head, false foot, mantel
  • oysters and clams, snails are most common
  • Move slowly, patterns on shells, easy to catch

ARTHROPODS

  • Some reproduce sexually and or asexually laying eggs
  • swimming, waddling
  • Lobsters, crabs, shrimp, butterfly, insects
  • Blend in with surroundings, hard shells, move fast
  • Jointed appendages

WORMS

  • Reproduce sexually and asexually
  • one and two way digestive system
  • Slow moving, hook together to mate
  • Live in dirt, and colonies
  • Segmented, flat, and round worms

  • Sting for protection
  • Reproduce sexually- polyp off mother then freely swim
  • Digestion sack, eat out of the mouth and release waste out of mouth
  • Three layers of protection, carry internal organs and important body parts

  • Adults are known for racial symmetry
  • Sea stars, sea cucumbers, sea urchins
  • Regenerate tissue, limbs, and vital organs
  • Mate sexually, reach maturity at 2-3 years old
  • Sea star has asexual reproduction
