This haiku deck is about the Glaucus Atlanticus, or more commonly known as the Blue Angel. My haiku will tell you about its habitat, niche, population, energy, biological interactions, adaptations, and where I found my resources. Please enjoy.
It eats jellyfish by killing it, breaking it down, and consuming its sting which is predation
My animals main competition is between other jellyfish, other blue angels, turtles, sea birds, or some fish, because they all eat jellyfish.
One example of symbiosis for my animal is commensalism because tiny shrimp called periclimentes are known to live on the blue angels nudibranches. The blue angel doesn't benefit but the shrimp has a place to stay.
One of the adaptations my animal has is that it swims upside down. It does this so that predators above doesn't see it because the blue ( bottom ) blends in with the sea. The white ( top ) faces under so predators under just think the sun is reflecting on the water.
Another adaptation is when killing jellyfish, the blue angel takes their sting so when you touch them, if they feel threatened, they will sting you.
