Why we need to protect them

• These species provide  essential nutrients to the ecosystem
• They provide fur for shelters/clothing 
• Each animal has an important role in keeping the food chain intact
• So future generations can experience their value
• Plants and animals provide useful medication

Climate Change

• As the climate keeps changing more are finding it harder to adapt
• Extreme climate change events can cause many extinctions  
• Climate change is the 2nd reason for animal extinction, habitat loss is #1

Habitat loss

• Forests are being cut down to build residential areas
• Where buildings are is where essential plants or animals may have lived
• Some needed nutrients in the soil may help humans with medications

We need to protect these animals!
