  • Andrew Marvell was born in 1621 in  Hull, England.
  • He was born to Rev. Andrew Marvell and Anne.
  • During the English war, he held posts as a tutor and secretary to the poet 
  • In 1659,he was elected to parliament and served until his death.
  • He was recognized as an important lyric poet after his death.
