What is he Known for?
Andrew Jackson was the seventh president in the united states.
He was born in March 15, 1767 Waxhaws
He is known for founding the Democratic Party
He is also known for his support of individual liberty.
He was the first president to be elected by vote.

He was born in the border of North/South Carolina on March 15, 1767
He died on June 8, 1845, Nashville, Tennessee
Jackson's nickname was "Old Hickory"
Jackson got his nickname because of his determination on the war of 1812
Andrew Jackson would be drawn as King Andrew I

Before the presidency
He was a Major General in the US army on the war of 1812
He had important victories in New Orleans in January 1815
By being a Major General in the war of 1812 he was called a Military Hero
This let him to run for president in 1828 but lost to John Quincy Adams.

In 1832 Jackson defeated Henry Clay to be the seventh president of the US
Jackson's presidency biggest events were "The Bank War"
"The Trail Of Tears", and the "Nullification Crisis"

Jackson believed that the second bank was dangerous and unconstitutional.
In 1833 Andrew Jackson shut down the second bank of the United States.
He moved the federal funds into state banks

The Trail of tears
Jackson found out about the state of georgia having gold in its land
He passed the Indian Removal Act of 1830 to move the cherokee to Oklahoma
This case was brought into court and Jackson did not ignored the ruling.
Jackson proceeded with the Removal and moved 17,000 Cherokees
About 4,000 Cherokees died and this event got the name "Trail Of Tears"

NUllification Crisis
The Tariff of 1832 made South Carolina pass an ordinance of nullification.
This said South Carolina will secede if they tried to collect those taxes
A.J. passed a Force Bill in 1833 that allow to use soldiers to enforce tax
After the Force Bill was passed, the Tariff of 1833 was passed
The Tariff of 1833 Lower the Tariff and made South Carolina not secede.
