We learn about who think who
has committed the murders.
Vera thinks Dr. Armstrong did
it and Phil Lombard believes that
the judge did it.

The significance is that three people
have been killed out of the ten and
three soldiers have been taken after
someone dies in the group of ten.

is the uneasiness and doubt in the
characters and how they are all
questioning each other about who

being isolated from the world.

The author is trying to show the
doubt and little trust between
the characters because they
think one of the guests is the

mouth." means she said what he was
going to say.
