GLADIATORS

  • Gladiators we're named after there weapons
  • The Etruscans came up with gladiators
  • Usally gladiators we're slaves, or prisoners of war
  • Gladiators we're put into groups based on their weapons
  • They believed that the gods liked the gladiatorial fights

COLOSSEUM

  • The colosseum is 2,000 years old and 6 acres of land
  • The colosseum was the biggest building in the world
  • The first games in the colosseum lasted 100 days
  • The colosseum holds up too 45,000 people
  • Sometimes the colosseum will occasionally be flooded for naval battles

CIRCUS MAXIMUMS

  • 2,500 years ago the ancient Romans built the circus maximus
  • The circus maximums is mainly where chariot races we're held
  • It was made out of wood and burnt down sometimes
  • The circus maximums was close to the Tribal river
  • The circus maximum sat 250,000 people and admission was free

  • They copied the idea from Greece
  • The romans favorite plays we're mostly comedy
  • They aslo had mask to show different characters
